Understanding Courses, Testing, and Materials on GageCE
Welcome to the new GageCE website! We’ve rebuilt how our store works to make it easier to find your course, choose the materials you need, and get into the Gage CE Learning Center to complete your testing. Here’s a walkthrough of exactly how it all fits together.
The Overall Setup
Every course purchase automatically includes access to that course’s test in the Gage CE Learning Center. From there, depending on the course, you can also choose to add:
- Course materials — a printed book or an eBook, if they are available. You can also select “I already have it” if you don’t need materials
- Printed test materials — if you’d rather complete a paper test by mail instead of testing online
You pick these options (when available) right on the course page before checkout — no separate orders, no guesswork.
Step 1 — Find Your Course
Browse or search for your course just like before. Each course page shows:
- The course description and CEU/credit information
- Approval details (which boards/bodies have approved it, and for what)
- The options available for that specific course (not every course offers every option — some are test-only, some include materials by default)
Step 2 — Choose Your Course Content (If Offered)
If the course offers materials, you’ll see a Course Content Options selector with choices like:

| Printed | A physical book shipped to you |
| I already have the content (Test only) | No materials — you already own the book or don’t need one |
Pick whichever fits. Some courses don’t offer this choice at all — in that case, testing access is the only thing included.
Step 3 — Choose Your Test Materials
Next, choose how you’d like to take the test:

| Online Test Only | You take the test in the Gage CE Learning Center — nothing is shipped |
| Printed / Mail Test | We mail you a paper test to complete and return |
Note: If you choose a printed book and/or a mailed test, those items ship separately from your Learning Center access — your test access is available immediately, even before anything arrives in the mail.
Step 4 — Add to Cart & Checkout
Once you’ve made your selections, add the course to your cart. You can purchase multiple courses in a single order, each with its own selections.
At checkout, you’ll enter your shipping address (only needed if you selected a printed book or mail test) and payment information.
Step 5 — Get Instant Access to the Learning Center
As soon as your order is placed, you’re automatically enrolled in that course inside the Gage CE Learning Center — our online portal (powered by Moodle) where you’ll:
- Log in using the same email/account you used to purchase
- View your enrolled courses
- Complete your test online (if you chose Online Test Only)
- Track your progress and view your results/certificate once complete
Good to know: Your Learning Center login is separate from managing your order, but it uses the same account — no separate signup required. Look for a Log In or Learning Center link at the top of the site.
Step 6 — If You Ordered Physical Materials
If you selected a Printed book and/or a Mail Test:
- These ship separately and you’ll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking
- Your book/eBook is for reference — your official test still happens according to the Test Materials option you chose (online in the Learning Center, or by mailing back your paper test)
- If you selected Mail Test, instructions for completing and returning it will be included in your package
Putting It All Together
Example:
You purchase Ethics for Renewal, choosing Printed for Course Content and Online Test Only for Test Materials.
- You’re instantly enrolled in the Learning Center and can start your test right away
- Your printed book ships separately and arrives in a few business days
