Understanding Courses, Testing, and Materials on GageCE
Welcome to the new GageCE website! We’ve rebuilt how our store works to make it easier to find your course, choose the materials you need, and get into the Gage CE Learning Center to complete your testing. Here’s a walkthrough of exactly how it all fits together.
The Overall Setup
Every course product purchase automatically enrolls you in the corresponding course or courses in the Gage CE Learning Center. In the Learning Center, you will see a list of courses you are enrolled in, and you can access these to take your test(s), as well as download or view any available digital course content.
When purchasing a course, you may have the option to select a printed or digital copy of the course content, as well as the option of a printed answer sheet for the test. You pick these options (when available) right on the course page before checkout — no separate orders, no guesswork.
Step 1 — Find Your Course
Browse or search for your course by selecting Browse All Courses. Each course page shows:
- The course title, price and CEU/credit information
- Approval details (which boards/bodies have approved it, and for what)
- The options available for that specific course (not every course offers every option — some offer printed course content, some offer eBooks, some include digital content by default, etc.)
Step 2 — Choose Your Course Content
On the course product page, you’ll typically see a Course Content Options selector with choices like:

| Printed | A physical book or printed copy of course content is shipped to you |
| I already have the content (Test only) | No course materials — you already own the book or don’t need one |
Pick whichever fits. If a course does not offer any of these options at all — in that case, online testing access (and possibly digital content) is the only thing included. Refer to the course description for additional information.
Step 3 — Choose Your Test Materials
Next, choose how you’d like to take the test:

| Printed Testing Materials (Online Test Optional) | We mail you a question booklet and paper answer sheet to complete and return |
Note: Even if you choose printed course content and/or printed testing materials, you may still take your test(s) online at any time. Physical course items ship separately from your Learning Center access — your test access is available immediately, even before anything arrives in the mail.
Step 4 — Add to Cart & Checkout
Once you’ve made your selections, add the course to your cart. You can purchase multiple courses in a single order, each with its own selections. However, you can only purchase one of a single course at a time.
At checkout, you’ll enter your shipping address (only needed if you selected printed course content or mailed test materials) and payment information.
If you purchased a course with printed course content, you will get to select one of our free books to be included in your order. You get one free book for every course with printed content, up to a maximum of three free books.
Step 5— Get Instant Access to the Learning Center
As soon as your order is placed, you’re automatically enrolled in that course inside the Gage CE Learning Center — our online portal where you’ll:
- Log in using the same email/account you used to purchase
- View your enrolled courses
- Access any available digital content for your courses
- Complete your tests online
- Track your progress and view your results/certificates once complete
Good to know: Your Learning Center account is separate from your Gage CE store account, but it uses the same login — no separate signup required. To access the Learning Center, make sure you are logged in. You can find the Log In link at the top right of the site page in the navigation bar if you are not. Once you are logged in, click on Learning Center in the navigation bar to go the Learning Center.
Step 6 — If You Ordered Physical Materials
If you selected a Printed course content and/or a Mailed Testing Materials:
- These ship separately and you’ll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking
- Your printed book contains the course material and is for reference
- If you selected Mailed Testing Materials, instructions for completing and returning your answer sheet will be included in your package
- You may still take your test online in the Learning Center, even if you purchased or received a paper answer sheet
Putting It All Together
Example: You purchase Digital Radiography of the Thorax, choosing Printed for Course Content and Online Test Only for Test Materials.
- You’re instantly enrolled in the Learning Center and can start your test right away
- Your printed book ships separately and arrives in a few business days
